Open Data Project Hub

Open data is the idea that some data should be freely available to everyone to use and republish as they wish.

The 2021 Open Data Project Hub [español, français] is based on the survey responses from the 2021 Global NGO Technology Survey. The anonymized survey data is available in real-time by region and country and as a global average.

Why the Open Data Project?

Most research about digital marketing and fundraising in the nonprofit sector is based on data from wealthy nations and thus often not applicable to charitable organizations worldwide. The Open Data Project was created to address that lack of diversity in data.

Formerly known as the Global NGO Technology Report, the report has been converted into an open data project because the report only featured a small portion of the data. In its new format, all data is provided publicly. Also, multilingual reports are very costly to produce in both time and financial resources. The Open Data Project is basic in design, but significantly more useful to the NGO sector.
