Give App FacebookAt long last a mobile app has launched that allows Americans to easily donate to any U.S.-based nonprofit in just a few taps. By partnering with Guidestar and Network for Good, donors can now give to their favorite nonprofits and manage their giving portfolio in one simple, very smart mobile app called the Give App.

Launched on July 13, donors search the GuideStar database inside the app for their favorite nonprofit, enter their credit card information which is then stored for all future donations, and then tap to give. It’s a simple idea whose timing is perfect. All nonprofits would be wise to sign up to access their Give profile as soon as possible and then integrate this app into their year-end fundraising campaigns by asking donors to “Favorite Their Nonprofit on Give.”

Still in beta and barely into their launch, this app is in its first stages of development. My guess is that over time the app will include badges for giving levels, special calls-to-action from your favorite nonprofits, social fundraising, year-end donation receipts, and perhaps even gaming dynamics to earn points that can be redeemed for prizes or promotions. The possibilities are vast and exciting. Here’s how the app works for donors:
